Trillium Consulting offers
end user and support staff training on the Microsoft Windows and Office products,
including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, FrontPage, Visio, and Outlook.
We also offer training on a variety of Remote Access tools, including Outlook
Web Access (OWA) and Virtual Private Networking (VPN).
Our classes are modular and focus on targeted training designed to meet specific
business goals. Our Microsoft application training services are ideal for organizations
who are introducing new desktop applications, upgrading to new releases of existing
applications, or training new employees and help desk staff.
By offering a variety of training approaches, we can meet the needs of end
users with a range of skills and job functions, from migration training for
experienced power users to one-on-one consulting on specific tasks for executives.
Some of our successful training approaches include:
Introductory-Advanced Full-day Standard Classes (6-7 hour sessions)
These are full-day classes for beginning to advanced level users that incorporate
hands-on activity and exercises to ensure students develop a strong foundation
for using the application.
Specialized Modular Workshops (1-4 hour sessions)
These classes provide focused training on specific application
functionality, resulting in increased productivity and a shortened learning
curve. Hands-on workshops can be customized to meet the pre-determined needs
of the participants. Sample topics include: Mail Merge in Word, Animation in
PowerPoint, or Working with Charts in Excel.
Upgrade/Migration Classes
These sessions highlight the new and enhanced features in the upgraded version
of the program. Upgrade classes may be one half-day in length, combined with
other upgrade courses to make a full day, or may be divided into 1 to 2-hour
specialized topic segments.
Deskside Training
With this approach, an instructor spends time at the employee’s desk, focusing
on specific topics and questions related to the individual’s daily work.
Office Labs
An open lab class allows participants to bring their daily work to class,
and our instructors are available to answer questions on specific,
job-related tasks. These sessions are ideal follow-ups for students who have
completed training sessions or for organizations who have recently upgraded
to new versions of the software.
